Oh, you must know this song, beautiful lyrics, slow tempo and... wait! Stop! Latin translation?!?!? Yes!
Vide Pyramides ad Nilum,
Et ab insula solem ortum,
At memento, care*, interdum
Te esse mei.
Vide forum in Algeria,
Mitte mihi iam munuscula,
At memento, diva exorta,
Te esse mei.
Quam sola pallesco sine te!
Tune pateris forte
Quoque?
Super mare volucer curri,
Vide silvas uvidas imbri,
At memento iterum domi
Te esse mei.

You, the living!
Yesterday I have seen yet another movie from the field of think-twice-how-you-are-spending-time-living movies. The reason why am am posting about this is closely related to my interactions with Slovene people. I had the chance of some interesting discussions with middle-age people that have a successful career and, contrary to some hasty thoughts, they are also managing a balanced life.
Consequently, I've seen in the past weeks two movies that deal with this theme: Koyaanisqatsi and You, the living. If the first one is a harder to digest documentary with and obsessive musical theme, You, the living is powerful, funny and touching. The latter one, a must see for everyone that apreciates European cinema.
